Explanation

Initial ratio A : B = 3 : 4  

Let A = 3x, B = 4x  

A is increased by 20%  

New A = 3x + 20% of 3x = 3x + 0.6x = 3.6x  

B is increased by 10%  

New B = 4x + 10% of 4x = 4x + 0.4x = 4.4x  

New ratio = 3.6x : 4.4x = 36 : 44  

Divide by 4:  

36 / 4 : 44 / 4 = 9 : 11
