Nanga Parbat is also locally known as Diamer . It is part of the Western Himalayas in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The peak, meaning " Naked Mountain ," stands at 8,126 m (26,660 ft). It is the 9th highest mountain globally. It is also called the " Killer Mountain ." Nanga Parbat was first ascended on July 3, 1953. Shehroze Kashif recently became the youngest Pakistani to summit it.
